Ugh, Walmart.
Upon looking at the recently updated blogs here, I came upon this page, wherein the author was frustrated at being unable to buy something in-store that was on sale, pushing one to purchase it online and wait. My opinion of this is stores such as Walmart and Target are now attempting to compete with Amazon in the online shopping game.
Of course, that’s highly improbable. Amazon has an extensive catalogue, and carries many things that Walmart will never carry, or is afraid to carry.
I really don’t like Walmart, anyway, but my family shops at the Supercenter because it’s close to home and the food is much cheaper. No complaints in 8 months, except for the bathrooms, of course. It seems every Walmart has a filthy bathroom, no matter how clean the rest of the store is. I try not to think of this, however, when I am buying deli items. Otherwise, I would never go back.
[This entry was mainly written to see how the trackback function works. I never used it on my old site].

I just received the Walmart flyer for the Scottsdale, AZ superstore and all the back to school furniture ads are in Spanish/Mexican. The balance of the ad’s are BI-LINGUAL. This is a first for me I have never seen an ad from Walmart that is not English only. The reason this rankles me is that I am of English Candian background and I saw what the bi-lingual ad process brought to Canada 25 years ago or longer.
If a province in Canada is more than 10% French then ALL the ad’s had to be bi-lingual. Today all advertising literature published in Canada has to be in both French and English. Every ceral box, cigarette package, box of diapers, every item you purchase in a food or department store, every warning label has to be in both FRENCH and ENGLISH. Walmart realizing that the Mexican population will be 38% of the Southwests population by the year 2010 or sooner has already caved in, in the name of MONEY. We already know that the soul of Walmart is dead, and he is turning over in his grave. Buy AMERICAN my ass, I will give money that besides groceries (and even then) if more than 25% - 35% of what you buy in Walmart was made in the USA you would be lucky. Every time you turn over an item to look at the tag it is made in China, Pakistan, India, or some other low wage off shore country. It is not so much the workers that are displaced but the power that is given to those who now make our goods. When China makes all of our goods whose MERCY are we at? What happens when some Chinese company BUYS WALMART. They will then have control over the largest retailer on the planet(OUR RETAILER) The same country who has stated that they are building 10 new nuclear reactors for energy purposes..what pretell will they do with all that leftover PLUTONIUM….hhhmmmmm. The same country that has stated that if ANYONE interferes with their holdings IE: Tawain, etc. they would not hesitate to respond with nuclear force against any PERCEIVED agression. How much of America are you willing to GIVE AWAY WITHOUT A FIGHT? Buy American before it is to late. Unfortunatley our society has already already made a transiton from a manufacturing based society to a money based society. We are rapidly moving into a service based economy where we make no tangible items and will not be able to fend for ourselves when the final ball drops. Unfortunately it is the leaders of our business/political community in there quest for the all mighty dollar that are leading us down this road. Stand up and vote America. They made Ross Perot look like a fool, but who is laughing now…almost everything he said is coming true. STAND UP AND VOTE AMERICA.

I googled for how trackbacks work and amongst the answers was this - deja vu!
